Holy Saturday is the day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday on which we commemorate the day that Jesus’ body lay in the tomb. It is a day of solemnity. Liturgically we mark this day with a very short, yet dignified and powerful service of readings, prayers and a homily. Participating in this service and reflecting on Christ’s self-giving love for us, helps fully prepare us for the joy and new life of the resurrection on Easter Sunday.
