Staff

Katharine Clark

Our parish administrator, Katharine Clark, started in July 2010. The parish administrator’s most significant responsibilities are communications, technology, and office management. She oversees the daily work of the parish office, directs and coordinates electronic and print communications projects, actively manages all computer and office network systems of the parish, and serves as a liaison among the staff, the wardens and vestry, members of the congregation, and others who contact the parish office. Katharine grew up in the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) outside of Philadelphia. She moved to New England in 1985 to raise a family and now calls New England home. She has enjoyed work and travel; she traveled in the ministry among Friends (Quakers) across the United States and around the world, believing that face-to-face interaction breaks down barriers of misunderstanding and builds trust. Please feel free to contact her at kate@standrewswellesley.org.

Wardie Mannix

Our music minister, Helen Ward (Wardie) Mannix, has wanted to play the organ ever since she can remember. Her Grandfather Sperry, who lived next door, bought a small organ with half a dozen or so foot pedals that he put between his office and her grandmother’s when she was 11 years old. Her mother said she sang before she talked, but Wardie wonders about this claim. She received her bachelors and masters degrees in organ performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she felt like she had “died and gone to heaven”, and spent four years studying in Europe, which was the fulfillment of many, many dreams. She’s worked as a lounge lizard at The Boston Harbor Hotel and various other establishments in the Boston area. She also taught music for many years at the South Shore Charter Public School and Derby Academy’s Summer Arts Program, among other places. She previously worked at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Hingham, and she is very happy to have been here at St. Andrew’s since September 2007. You can reach her at wardie@standrewswellesley.org.

Susan Jackson

Susan Jackson joined St Andrew’s in mid-summer of 2007, and lives in Dover where she grew up. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work and is the Christian learning coordinator for St. Andrew’s youth. Susan’s areas of responsibility include creating teaching schedules, ordering curriculum and supplies, and overseeing children’s classes on Sunday mornings as well as assisting in the managing of various projects relating to all youth programming during the year. This  includes all levels of youth, from kids’ place through senior high youth group. Susan has a daughter, Katherine currently attending Boston College. She enjoys the outdoors, animals, reading, and history as well as her dog boarding business. Susan can be reached at susan@standrewswellesley.org.
