Pledging is way to express your love for God and your commitment to do his work. This is described many times in the Bible. It is a very personal act that comes from the heart. St. Andrew’s is a warm and vibrant community of Christians who practice their faith in worship and in sharing gifts of time, talent, and treasure to support many important and effective ministries. Your pledge is a pivotal part of our ability to serve God as we do.
There is no “right” amount to pledge. What you decide to give should be a reflection of your relationship to your faith and to St. Andrew’s. The act of pledging is more important than the amount of your pledge. Of course, we hope that you will increase your pledge every year! Neither the cost of living nor the costs of the programs we support ever go down. As such, we must encourage our parishioners to help us to keep pace through a commitment to steady and increasing giving. As St. Paul reminds us, God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
