This education series invites us to explore our faith more intentionally, and deepen our shared faith together. We will meet on five Sundays during the 2017-2018 year: October 1, November 12, February 4, March 4, and April 22. We gather after church for 45 minutes to engage each other in conversation, reflection, and short spiritual exercises around topics that help us live out our faith daily. This intergenerational class is held from 11:30am to 12:15pm in the Harvey Room. You can learn about our current offerings by reading the current St. Andrew’s communications. All are welcome as time and interest allow.
The Rev. Margaret K. Schwarzer.

This year’s topics are as follows:

October 1, Engaging the Nicene Creed
Find life in ancient words and leave with new insights about the creed. How does it speak to you?

November 12, Understanding Your Child’s Faith Development
We want to support our middle school children and teens in their faith development. Hear experts’ opinions and share your own experiences.

February 4, How to Forgive: A Case Study
Reflect on a staggering opportunity for despair or forgiveness. What would you do?

March 4, Practicing Hope
Come discover what scripture and spiritual practice teach us about hope. Hope is a Christian virtue that could save your life.

April 22, How to Have a Good Death
How do we create a good death for ourselves, or those we love? Hear some wisdom about building a good death, and share your own insights.
